  • providing a comprehensive study to a German development institution on how the multilateral trading system may contribute to sustainable trade (2017)
  • acting as legal counsel to the CEFTA Secretariat on trade-related matters, including on international best practices in the area of dispute settlement (2017)
  • advising a number of South-East Asian countries on domestic regulation of services trade and the WTO negotiations in this area (2017)
  • advising a number of West-African countries on the state of play in the DDA negotiations, in particular as regards the services negotiations (2017)
  • providing a legal study to the federation of German consumer organizations on consumer protection provisions in recent FTAs concluded by the EU and the USA (2016)

  • advising a South American producers' association on the compatibility of a legislative proposal regarding an internal tax on alcoholic beverages with pertinent WTO rules, in particular Art. III:2 of the GATT 1994 (2014) 
  • legal opinion for a European producers' association on the compatibility of EU rules concerning the marketing and sale of tobacco products with the TBT-Agreement and TRIPS, respectively (2014)
  • study for a Germa public policy institution regarding the compatibility of national rules on sustainability in government procurement with relevant EU and WTO rules (2013)
  • study for a German development organization regarding principles of international trade/WTO law for domestic regulation of services trade (2013)
  • work for an international non-governmental organization on the valuation of certain goods for customs purposes according to WTO rules on customs valuation (2012)
  • work for a German governmental body on WTO and EU subsidy rules regarding carbon leakage measures in support of energy-intensive industries (2010)

  • advising an Asian company on EU customs and VAT rules (2017)
  • advising a European company on EU rules under the single CMO-Regulation for agricultural products regarding producer & interbranch organisations (2016)
  • representing a European company in a preliminary reference procedure with respect to the legality of production levies before the Court of Justice of the EU (case C-96/15) 
  • providing a legal opinion to a European company on the compatibility with primary Union law of certain rules under the EU's new single CMO-Regulation for agricultural products (2014)
  • representing a European association of foodstuff producers as intervener in annulment proceedings before the General Court of the EU regarding certain regulatory measures adopted by the European Commission (cases T-279/11 and T-103/12)
  • representing a German company in annulment proceedings before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the EU (case T-671/11, case C-336/13 P).
